Researcher: Chinedu, Chisom Esther Matriculation Number: 20201247511 This study was conducted as part of my undergraduate research in Fisheries and Aquaculture, focusing on optimizing water management practices for improved fish growth and feed utilization. The research investigated the impact of an eight-day water replacement regime on the growth performance and nutrient utilization of Clarias gariepinus fingerlings under controlled culture conditions. Key responsibilities and contributions included: Designing and implementing the experimental setup using multiple treatment ponds. Managing fish stocking, feeding regimes, and routine farm operations throughout the study period. Monitoring water quality parameters to ensure optimal culture conditions. Conducting periodic sampling to measure growth performance indicators such as weight gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and specific growth rate (SGR).
