Meet Makanjuola
My name is Makanjuola Boluwatife, and I am hard of hearing. I graduated from the University of Ilorin in August 2025. I have three years of teaching experience and previously served as the Financial Secretary and Vice President of the National Association of Deaf Students (Unilorin Chapter).
As a business-oriented individual, my career goal is to empower deaf people by teaching them how to engage in business activities such as selling clothes, shoes, phone holders, and kitchen items. I aim to encourage them to showcase their talents and become self-reliant. Many deaf individuals in Nigeria are educated but struggle to secure employment. Therefore, my long-term vision is to establish a successful business enterprise that focuses on trade and entrepreneurship, creating opportunities that promote independence, growth, and development among deaf people.
