Oluebube Ruth Unachukwu

My name is Ruth Oluebube, and I am currently serving as a corps member in Lagos, Nigeria. I have a background in science and a strong interest in reproductive health, particularly Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). Currently, During my service year at an IVF clinic, I have gained hands-on experience in both clinical and laboratory settings. I have observed most IVF procedures and can competently handle semen analysis. In addition, I have been actively involved in clinical assisting and stock taking, which has helped me understand clinic operations, inventory management, and patient support systems Working in this environment has exposed me to real challenges in reproductive health. I have identified certain gaps and problems within my clinic, which has increased my desire to contribute to meaningful, evidence-based solutions. However, I currently do not have the technical research knowledge and mentorship required to fully explore these problems. As a result, I am seeking an opportunity to grow and learn within ART, and also a role as a Research Assistant where I can intern, gain hands-on research experience, and build my technical capacity. My goal is to make a meaningful impact in reproductive health research and contribute to improving patient outcomes. I am eager to learn, open to growth, and committed to developing myself into a professional who can add value in both clinical practice and research.
